Computer Blues
I maintain my membership in the elite club.
A pre computer person in a post computer age.
My kids feel I am as dumb as a bug in a rug.
With the old hand calculator, I made good grades.
Being a computer wiz is mighty fine.
One can do amazing things these days.
But, the skills it takes just are not mine.
I just sit here in a comatose daze.
Kids serve a need. They help when I’m stuck.
They zip along like there was no problem.
As for me, I am stuck in a rut.
There is no way that I can solve them.
Yet, my elite membership is secure.
Many other seniors are members too.
Somehow, we still are able to endure.
If your old, you may be a member too.
