 Why Does God Love Me So?

Why does God love me so?

I am the lowest of the low.

Yet, for Him to love me

is a  thing I say cannot be.

But, I know that it is true.

I am stupid, but not a fool.

He’s been with me all the time.

When I think back, I often find.

He has saved me more than once.

I took the scratches & the bumps.

Yet, I ‘m still here. I don’t know why.

Apparently to give it one more try.

Why does God love me so?

That’s an answer I need to know.

I love my kids, no matter what.

His love is greater. Mine’s minor stuff.

He even died for my sins.

What greater love can a man win?

I’ve turned my back in every way.

I knew that I would die some day.

Yet, he has always been with me.

Time to find out why it could be.

I read His word to find out why.

It was right there. Clear as pie.

I have always had the choice to make.

It was not something He would take.

A greater love I could never find.

He broke my heart and He is mine.

I shed tears for breaking His too.

I pray for forgiveness for all I do.

All I do to not show He’s mine.

For I am His all the time.

God is love. There is no other.

He is a father and a mother.

He is all I will ever need.

He’ll save all who choose, He has decreed.
