Super Powers (Part two)
When I tried to brush my teeth,
I snapped the brush. Was it weak?
I soon discovered I had unlimited strength.
I could have easily ripped out the sink.
What is going on here?, I wondered.
I must be careful and not make a blunder.
Next, I literally flew down the stairs.
No one saw it, but I was scared.
I didn’t want anyone to know.
I didn’t want to be putting on a show.
Later, out back, after flying around.
I discovered when I hit the ground.
I am impervious to injury.
No force seemed to bother me.
I stabbed myself in the arm.
It had no effect. Worked like a charm.
Next, I shot myself in the leg.
Again, no effect. What a powder keg.
I tried x-ray vision. It worked great!!
My freezing cold breath could freeze a lake.
I could become invisible also.
I could jump high & paint a Picasso.
Anything that I thought of I could do.
I must keep it secret. I was no fool.
That night I had a dream again.
Like I had when in a coma back then.
The Lord was talking to me.
‘You have powers given by me.’
‘Whatever you think of you can do.’
“Except raise the dead. Only I can do.’
‘You also cannot create. That is my job.’
‘Godly powers are only mine. Not odd.’
‘But, all you do must be to glorify me.’
‘People need guidance now, you see.’
‘You will lead them in the right way.’
‘While fighting crime & sin every day.’
‘No one needs know who you are.’
‘When you succeed I will be the star.’
I awoke remembering every word.
I know it all may sound a little absurd.
But, it seems I am in the army of God.
Covered by his armor & carrying a rod.
I have my burden to bare.
I will fight for justice everywhere
