Unknown Future
Remember just a few weeks ago.
We thought things were bad, you know.
All we heard on the news was depressing.
Enough to make you nervous about investing.
Now, looking back, those were good times then.
Negative things happened often back then.
But, if we wanted to leave the house.
There was no quarantine about.
No social distancing, or any such thing.
You could hear a musical group sing.
You could eat where you wanted to.
Lots of things for us to do.
Maybe we were taking it all for granted.
We won’t now. Pandemic on the planet.
Major changes in just a few weeks.
More concerned about getting my eats.
Toilet paper to wipe my butt.
Tighten my belt around my gut.
In the end we may overcome.
Things will be different for everyone.
It will be a whole new way of living.
Till the next tragedy. I’m not kidding.
Things are changing for good or bad.
If it’s good, I will be glad.
