The Golden Age Of Magic (Epilogue)
Kronos ruled for 800 years plus.
Many say he was a nasty cuss.
He was trained by his father from the cradle.
He followed in dad’s ways, willing and able.
Yet, there was a soft spot in his heart.
Sometimes, he felt it was tearing him apart.
Though he ruled with an iron hand,
at times, he was considered a lenient man.
After several years, he learned to ignore it.
He concentrated on remaining fit.
His interests were in research.
Turning an elm tree into a birch.
Making an amalgamation of monsters.
They did his bidding, like coinsurers.
When it came to magic, he was the best.
You could forget about all the rest.
That is, until Anika came along.
He invited the challenge, but he was wrong.
Anika would be his downfall.
But, that’s another story, told in its all.
After 800+ years of brutal rule,
Kronos suddenly started acting the fool.
He started destroying, and closing churches.
All the people’s worship should be his.
He would become their new god.
Churches would worship him. Not odd.
Word of this reached Vantera fast.
The Wizard’s isolation could no longer last.
They had to nip this in the bud.
They couldn’t see God trampled into the mud.
So, this was what brought the Wizards back.
Anika was their leader. She had the knack.
The story from here on, you already know.
All of them put on quite a show.
But, despite it all, one thing can be said.
The Golden Age Of Magic was all but dead.
That former glory never returned.
Though Kronos is one who left you concerned,
Aladon had a flare that could never be learned.
The Golden Age Of Magic was burned
Into the pages of history to never fade away.
Will a time like that ever return some day?
