The Golden Age Of Magic (Chapter 7)

Before Anathea made her ‘Watcher’s’ trek.

A tragedy happened that affected her, by heck.

She had been captured by the Warlocks.

Taken prisoner without more thought.

She didn’t tell them her real name.

They knew she was a Wizard by the game.

She was taken to Aladon to interview.

She was very beautiful. This he knew.

She said she was Elmondi, a Wizard who had died.

There was no way for him to know she had lied.

He wasn’t sure just how to take her.

So, he just decided to rape her.

She fought like a demon, but he was stronger.

Now she knew he was truly a war monger.

After, she was thrown into a cell.

In about 6 weeks, things were not going well.

All of her fears came true.

She ended up pregnant by the ignorant fool.

Aladon was soon informed of her condition.

He had wanted a son by his admission.

If she had a girl, the child would be killed.

If it was a boy, she would do as he willed.

Nurse the baby until he was weaned.

But, she would never become a queen.

Her living conditions improved while pregnant.

Once the boy was born, he was found not latent.

Indications were he would be very powerful.

Aladon was well pleased. Anathea was sorrowful.

Aladon named the child Kronos.

Anathea had no say. Her suggestions were no, no’s.

Within a month, when their guard was down.

She made her escape. She was never found.

She made it back to the Wizard’s keep.

Once there, she spent a lot of time alone to weep.

She decided to up the game.

With the ‘Watcher’s’ help, hopefully, not in vain.

In the meantime, Aladon found a wet nurse.

He taught Kronos at a young age. Verse by verse.

Kronos was highly intelligent and learned fast.

He was doing magic at a young age with class.

All during this time, the battle raged on.

Kronos knew why his father was often gone.

Kronos did not know his mother was a Wizard.

Aladon forbade it unless they wanted to lose their gizzard.

Kronos was told his mother died while giving birth.

He always accepted that, for what it was worth.

Anathea did not use the lance or deceiver powers.

Mainly due to Kronos. She couldn’t kill her flower.

Finally, about the time Kronos came of age.

Anathea knew she had to set the stage.

She used the lance in a battle.

She wiped out everyone who sat in the saddle.

Aladon was so enraged he totally lost it.

He grabbed his sword, magically enhanced to get

the victory, no matter what. Lance or no lance.

Kronos told him “No, the sword can’t beat the lance.”

Aladon roared and charged out to find Anathea.

It was a battle no one wanted to see, yeah.

Aladon wounded Anathea in the side.

When he saw her, his eyes went wide.

He recognized her as Kronos’s mother.

Anathea knew who she battled was ‘the other.’

She was forced to use the lance to save her life.

Aladon was killed, despite all of his might.

Kronos now became leader of the Warlocks.

Aladon was given a royal funeral no one forgot.

Anathea knew Kronos would want revenge.

She wouldn’t fight him, so why pretend.

What happened next is in another story.

But, will be told again in all its glory.

But first, I need a break.

All of this is a lot to take.——–R.W. Johnson—–(2019)
