Ride From Hell

      Ride From Hell

I had a dream the other day.

We were in a weird kind of maze.

We were trying our best to get out.

Nobody knew what it was about.

We had to use a sled to move around.

Sliding down passages never to be found.

It was scary with turns and branches.

Just to ride it was taking chances.

We had no idea where we were.

Where it was leading, we were not sure.

What was around the next turn?

Going so fast our butts began to burn.

We screamed with fear as we flew on.

This can’t be real. It must be a con.

We found by leaning we could guide our route.

Left to go left. Right to go right we found out.

Then we hit bumps that bounced us about.

It looked like a clown car that was full of clowns.

We went into a dip & passed through water.

We were all wet and felt like otters.

How do we get out of this crazy maze?

This ride is not fun. I’ve had better days.

Then, up ahead, a brick wall with no way around.

We could turn but, not brake, we found.

With a scream we covered our heads.

Next thing I knew, I woke up next to my bed.

The house was a mess. Stuff scattered all over.

What the hell happened here? I shrugged my shoulders.

Talk about a nightmare. This takes the cake.

It’s enough to make an effort to stay awake.

The rides at 6 Flags are no longer an option.

I don’t need a repeat of this ‘nightmare’. Take caution.
