A Day Like No Other

A Day Like No Other

Tell me what you did today?
I went to another dimension to play.
What kind of crazy talk is that?
It’s not crazy,—- it is a fact.
But, how can this even be?
It is easy. Want to see?
The Shadow People opened the door.
Showed me what I was looking for.
Once there things were unreal.
A waking dream is how it feels.
Weird shapes and colors.
Things moving that are like no other.
Gravity is less. I could jump real high.
Jump way up into a purple sky.
Things would talk, but it made no sense.
Like someone gargling through a picket fence.
I would do flips and scary dives.
Float on the green water and stay alive.
I almost lost my way back to here.
Then I heard you loud and clear.
You were calling, asking if I was home.
Then, I was back. No longer alone.
That sounds scary as hell to me.
I think I’ll stay here and remain free.
Suit yourself, but you are missing out.
This other dimension will make you shout.
You’ll have a blast in all you do.
What if you can’t find your way back through?
Come looking if I’m not here tomorrow.
The Shadow People will show no sorrow.
But, they will show you to the door.
Just don’t ask them anything more.
See you tomorrow at twelve noon.
I can’t wait to see the double moon.
