He Met His Waterloo

He Met His Waterloo

I have tried to put my arms around to many.
I tried to be like my brother, Lenny.
He is a first class playboy, always on a role.
But, never settling down has taken its toll.
He doesn’t love life as much as I do
I love life because I have you.
When I met you I met my Waterloo.
There was no more looking I needed to do.
You and I have been a perfect match.
I could never have made a better catch.
Now, I spend my whole life through
just spending all my time with you.
I see rainbows and all the colors.
I see little kids with their mothers.
I see clouds all white and puffy.
I see my sister’s prom dress, all white & fluffy.
But, all the beauty I see reminds me of you.
You are the star attraction in my zoo.
You are the only attraction that is there.
There isn’t room for anyone else, & I don’t care.
If you could read my heart, it would be clear.
Every page would be about you, dear.
You are my all, my everything.
Without you, there is nothing.
All beauty, sound, feeling, and emotion.
Rolled into one that has all my devotion.
The imagination of the greatest lovers
cannot come up with anyone that covers
my every desire and whim better than you.
I just pray you feel that way about me too.

Those Childhood Days

Those Childhood Days

I keep thinking back a long, long time ago.
Where in the world does all the time go?
I am thinking back when we were kids.
Life was simple. No one flipped their lids.
We would dream about being older.
We would be bigger & much more bolder.
We figured we wouldn’t hate girls then.
We didn’t know how or why or even when.
We had too much fun building forts.
Exploring & catching frogs with warts.
Shooting targets with our sling shots.
Getting praise for the targets we got.
Riding bikes all over the place.
Sometimes, we would even have a race.
We had so many things to do.
We always had some gum to chew.
Relationships were not on our mind.
They would be eventually, given time.
But, then, we were too busy being boys.
Making the most of all our toys.
We played a lot of games & things.
No worries what each day would bring.
Somewhere along the way we got older.
We got bigger & we got bolder.
Girls played a part in our lives.
If she was ‘hot’ we gave it a try.
Soon, emotions became a major thing.
Many other things puberty would bring.
It was a radical change to become a man.
Yet, childhood had its place in the land.
Without it I wouldn’t be who I am.
It has made me, overall, a better man.

The Beginning

The Beginning

Everyday I like to spend a little time
walking in the woods with a friend of mine.
We smell the pine scent on the breeze.
It is warm and nice to put us at ease.
The birds are singing. The sky is clear blue.
I love spending time this way with you.
We come upon a sparkling blue lake.
Fish are jumping. I find it hard to stay awake.
Time for lunch, so we spread out a blanket.
To charge the radio I have to crank it.
Music, food, a warm sunny day.
What more is there for me to say.
Life is good when I am with you.
I find that you are feeling likewise too.
We start to talk. Generalities at first.
We laugh about how things could be worse.
Soon, I am staring deep into your eyes.
This leads to a kiss. What a surprise.
Soon you are snuggling close to me.
We have become more than friends, you see.
We have really gotten into each other.
I realize that there can be no other.
No one else to walk in the woods with.
I hope that this will be a special gift.
One for each of us to cherish.
Please don’t let this feeling perish.
We both see this was meant to be.
I into you and you into me.
There will be other walks in the woods.
I wouldn’t change that if I could.
What we established on that first day.
Will always be here to stay.
For the two of us have become as one.
This will always be our day in the sun.

Under Her Thumb

Under Her Thumb

I saw you and I couldn’t believe it.
She has you walking a tight wire.
Don’t look down, even a little bit.
You will fall into a ring of fire.

She has you up tight and out of sight.
You have a Tampax syndrome big time.
To treat you this way just isn’t right.
She is going to drive you out of your mind.

She runs a tight ship.
She won’t stand for the slightest slip.
She will cut you off short.
If you dare to give her a retort.
Such a life is not for you.
Cut her loose now, you fool!!

You are really towing the line.
Your nose is to the grinding wheel.
What’s up? Have you lost your mind?
You’re in prison. What did you steal?

You spend your time running blind.
You are worse than a rat in a maze.
You’re going in circles. Make up your mind.
Is this any way to spend your days?

She runs a tight ship.
She won’t stand for the slightest slip.
She will cut you off short.
If you dare give her a retort.
Such a life is not for you.
Cut her loose now, you fool!!

What power has she got over you?
Can she do magic? Has she cast a spell?
She’s ugly as a mud fence. That won’t do.
I know you got to be living in hell.

You are a man. Don’t crawl like a worm.
Find a way out and take it now.
Don’t just stay there continuing to squirm.
Walk like a man. Don’t bawl like a cow.

Caught In A Lie?

Caught In A Lie?

Like a soldier under heavy fire.
I am fearing for my very life.
You have said that I am a liar.
I am only avoiding pain and strife.

Things have changed for you and me.
I am not the reason for it all.
Things are not the way they used to be.
If, only, you would answer my call.

Rumors have been spread.
There is no truth to them at all.
I was not caught in her bed.
I wasn’t even there at all.

I am true blue and fit to be tied.
There has to be a reason for this.
I am suffering because someone else lied.
I would like to beat them with my fist.

You should know I wouldn’t do this.
I have been with you for awhile now.
Have some faith in me, I wish.
I will prove it’s a lie somehow.

Then we can be as one again.
We can always trust one another.
Neither should ever make amends.
I love you. There is no other.

The Way Back

The Way Back

You met me when my life was down.
You asked me why I wore a frown.
I guess I didn’t make my answer clear.
You said there was nothing for me to fear.

You hung around without being asked.
You started to ask me about my past.
I didn’t want to tell you a thing.
I didn’t know what such action could bring.

Little by little you wore me down.
Little by little I lost my frown.
You really seemed to care.
I was feeling better before I was aware.

I finally asked you: “Why waste your time?”
It wasn’t like you were really mine.
You said: “I care because I like you a lot.”
I felt my stomach tighten into a knot.

“No one has ever said that to me.”
“My life is a mess, as you can see.”
“But, it doesn’t have to stay that way.”
“Set your emotions aside for a rainy day.”

“I would need help to do such a thing.”
“There is no magical song to sing.”
“No way to turn my life around.”
“No pot of gold that I have found.”

“I can help you find the way.”
“I will help you every day.”
“Until the day your on the right track.”
“I will always have your back.”

“Why would you even offer such a thing?”
“Is there an ulterior motive that you bring?”
“Not long ago, I was just like you.”
“Someone told me what to do.”

“I found my way out of that black hole.”
“Thanks to help from a loving soul.”
“So I want to do the same for you.”
“When you’re back, you’ll know what to do.”

So began my rehabilitation, of sorts.
She was true to her word, I can report.
I remember she said I would know what to do.
I know exactly what. I am not a fool.

The Sex Diet

The Sex Diet

I was hungry all the time.
Not for food, but to make you mine.
I craved you more than a hot fudge Sunday.
I could eat you up. You’re just as yummy.

Then things changed. We got together.
I thought things would be better.
I had all of you I wanted.
Seconds and thirds. I wasn’t taunted.

Time went by, like it always does.
I wasn’t so happy. Just because.
Have you ever bit off more than you could chew?
I think that happened with me and you.

We both needed to go on a diet.
So we abstained. Just try it.
On rare occasions we gave in.
Just a little. It wasn’t a sin.

Let me tell you, it was out of this world.
Absence made our desires whirl.
We reached levels of ecstasy we couldn’t believe.
Such pleasure is hard to achieve.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
We found this true. We didn’t flounder.
Now we diet with anticipation.
For the occasional slip, or vacation.

Our ‘diet’ has motivated us.
We are closer than dirt is to dust.
We recommend it to others, if it fits.
But, never, never call it quits.

What Is The Answer?

What Is The Answer?

Are you a person who lives in the past?
Are you interested in ‘old things’ that last?
Do you imitate the lifestyle back then?
Do you wish you could relive it again?

Or are you one who knows what future means?
Do you live with tomorrow’s dreams?
Do you wish you were born a little later?
Do you think tomorrow there will be no haters?

Or do you live and thrive in the here and now?
Do you manage to live a day at a time, somehow?
Yesterday is a goodbye, tomorrow isn’t here.
All is the here and now; that you make very clear.

Whichever way you tend to be.
Will it make a difference between you and me?
Can we still be, as one, together?
Can we cling to one another, whatever the weather?

Does time and place rule over all?
Is that the announcement before the fall?
Or is it ‘whatever will be will be?’
You are still you and I am me.

Words Of Wisdom From Uncle John

Words Of Wisdom From Uncle John

I looked around and you were gone.
I had no idea what came over you?
Its happened before, I thought with a yawn.
I always figured you couldn’t be true.

And then along came Uncle John.
He said: “Why is she gone?”
I told him I didn’t have a clue.
He said: “That’s because you are a fool.”

Sometime later, I met another.
She was sweeter than apple pie.
She wanted me to meet her mother.
I turned her down because I was shy.

And then along came Uncle John.
He said: “Why has she gone?”
I told him I didn’t have a clue.
He said: “That’s because you are a fool.”

I tried after that, but couldn’t score.
Things just never went my way.
They seemed to know what I was looking for.
Yet, not one of them would ever stay.

And then along came Uncle John.
He said: “Hasn’t one come along?”
I said I didn’t have a magic wand.
He said: “ It’s because you are a ding dong!!”
