The Raise Of Asglow (Part 4)

The Raise Of Asglow (Part 4)

When Asglow went to the ruined castle.
He had trouble searching without a hassle.
He conceived a plan to rebuild the place.
He couldn’t stand all that waste.
Besides, he wanted to find all he could.
He would use all the old castle he could.
Except move it all to a new place.
On top of a solid granite plateau, in case.
There was one about a mile away.
Several hundred feet high, if a day.
Probably 20 acres or more around.
No way up or down that he found.
He spent two days magically working.
Cutting a narrow path. A sure thing.
Once on top, he made the top level.
It was flat, like made with a bevel.
The narrow path was hard to maneuver.
Easily defended with magic or groover.
A magical tool that reshapes rock.
No one would ever reach the top.
Once on top he zapped away.
He moved stones the easy way.
Zapped them to the top of the plateau.
He recruited others to carry on the show.
He said it would be a memorial.
To always remember Kronos’s gory role.
The Council Of 9 found agreement with this.
The castle was built without a hitch.
Except he built it about 5 times larger.
Expert builders followed him without barder.
With the granite riddled with tunnels and rooms,
reaching way down below bedrock in the gloom.
He had tons of rooms and secret places.
He brought in all books, ledgers, and magic vases.
Everything he found in the ruined castle.
Plus things from everywhere. It was a vassal.
It was finished within two years.
All who visited left with their fears.
They thought it made a fine memorial.
To remember evil, without glory though.
Asglow was hoping to find one thing.
It was something that Kronos could bring.
The reversal of Anika’s spear power.
That would be needed in that hour.
He didn’t find it anywhere he looked.
It was not in any book.
He finally decided there was only one way.
Go to hell and see what Kronos would say.
He knew the black spell that would take him there.
It was dangerous. He could try it, if he did dare.
Finally, he cast the spell.
He was pulled down by a black smoke into hell.
He found Kronos, but he was totally insane.
Just kept screaming about panthers and pain.
He knew he would never learn anything here.
Then, a demon, from nowhere, did appear.
He said: “We know why you risked coming here.”
“We know what you are planning, that is clear.”
“We helped Kronos, but we will never again.”
“There is a chance that you can win.”
“But, your future is not very clear.”
“It is like looking into a bunch of mirrors.”
“Go back and try your very best.”
“Beyond that, may you pass the test.”
With that, he was back where he left from.
What happens next is another story.
Watch for it soon in all its glory.

The Raise Of Asglow (Part 3)

The Raise Of Asglow (Part 3)

Ancient history showed Asglow much.
He learned time started before the primordial muck.
In the beginning there was no time.
All was status quo, no change came to mind.
Then, as millennia passed, change slowly came.
Time started to be, as a part of the game.
Around that time the stone in the amulet was born.
Created during the first violent storm.
With the right spell, the amulet could control time.
But, only for a temporary period, keep that in mind.
The stone and other similar ones were extremely rare.
It didn’t say where to find one. It wasn’t fair.
Then, Asglow had an idea he thought would help.
He would visit the Lumicates. That would help he felt.
He left Vantera using the portal gates.
He quickly made his way to the planet it takes.
He traveled into the desert and found the Lumicates.
Knowing who he was, they were waiting. He was late.
Lumicates can see the future in most cases.
They knew searching for the amulet was his fate.
They couldn’t get a fix on his future that was clear.
Like finding your way in a house of mirrors.
Millions of futures came and went.
They didn’t know what caused this event.
The only thing that came up was an island.
Someplace on earth by the name of Ireland.
Ireland? He remembered the name in Kronos’s diary.
He said: “Thanks, now I will return home my way.”
He zapped back to Vantera to his room.
He sat there for awhile in the gloom.
Once he had been somewhere, he could zap there.
He looked in Kronos’s diary. It wasn’t anywhere.
Then he saw the note. A Keep in Ireland underground.
He was elated at what he had found.
He would zap to earth, then Ireland bound.
He took a ship and weeks later arrived.
He could feel the magic, he felt alive.
He worked some spells and followed their lead.
He was drawn to the place. Now to succeed.
He opened the underground Keep by using magic.
Things were mostly destroyed. It was tragic.
He searched for many hours without success.
Then, there it was among the mess.
The amulet! It had to be the right one.
He zapped home to Vantera. The fun had begun.
First, using some basic spells, he confirmed.
This amulet would work to help him return.
Time travel is a delicate thing not to be rushed.
Just a few minutes shift would be enough.
It would take more study and research.
He wouldn’t go off on some crazy lurch.
What would happen is yet to tell.
Stay tuned in. It will get wilder than hell.

The Raise Of Asglow (Part 2)

The Raise Of Asglow (Part 2)

Asglow found a private place to study.
Using Kronos’s diary, he was like putty.
Being molded into a Kronos image.
The dark side seemed to know his lineage.
He mastered all he could find on black magic.
It took time, but that wouldn’t be tragic.
Once he became master of time.
He thought:—- ‘All would be mine.’
In the meantime, things had changed.
One of the council had been claimed.
He passed away due to his age.
They needed another, much younger in age.
Ansir , Siran, & Asglow were obvious choices.
Asglow was older by a year said voices.
He may be wiser, best choice by far.
He won the vote, for what you are.
Well respected, one of the best.
Always studying, more than the rest.
Asglow accepted his place on the council.
He was praised by all the townsfolk.
Even Ansir and Siran felt it was right.
They knew Asglow could handle any fight.
But, he was also very wise for his age.
They didn’t have a problem to engage.
But, if so, Asglow would give good advice.
To depend on him, they didn’t think twice.
Asglow used his position to gain power.
He made the right friends for the hour.
Soon, he was voted head of the council.
Leader of the Wizards. That was a mouthful.
Still, he studied the forbidden arts.
All in secret, right from the start.
A plan was slowly forming in his mind.
It was one to which he was inclined.
He knew Kronos was defeated by the Wizards.
He also knew he could defeat the Wizards.
There would not even be a war.
The Wizards wouldn’t even leave their door.
He knew Kronos didn’t know where the Wizards went.
Yet, he was living there. It was like he was sent.
Ruler of additive magic, soon, ruler of subtractive magic.
Yet, he was taking his time. He was not a fanatic.
He was close to controlling the time spells.
He needed a certain amulet to settle his quells.
With it, he could control all time.
Where to look to make the find?
He needed to do more historic research.
He dove into it for all he was worth.
Will he be able to find what he wants?
Next time you’ll know, without any taunts.

The Raise Of Asglow (Part One)

The Raise Of Asglow (Part One)

After “The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare” was done,
there was peace and happiness for everyone.
At least, that was how it seemed.
Except for one, who was not relived.
His name was Asglow, one of their best.
He grew up with Ansir, Siran, and the rest.
His mother’s name was Evangelica.
He never knew his father, which is well enough.
He was told he had been killed battling Kronos.
He knew the history, yet, is that how it goes?
Something had been bothering him for years.
He couldn’t find his father’s name. He had fears.
Finally, he asked his mom about all this.
She said “I was hoping this we would miss.”
“But, you’re entitled to know the tale.”
“Try to understand. It was to protect you.” She wailed.
“I was captured in the battle with Kronos.”
“ He treated me like a whore. No boast.”
“He raped me before Wizards freed me.”
“But, I was pregnant. That’s how you came to be.”
“You mean my father was the dreaded Kronos?”
“Yes Asglow. Better your father be a ghost.”
“That is why you were told he died in the war.”
“There has been enough suffering. No more.”
Asglow was shocked and at a loss.
He was a strong wizard. Who was best?, it was a toss.
Ansir, Siran, and Asglow were the best.
Yet, they have never competed in a test.
Asglow decided to learn all about Kronos.
Everything he did and knows.
Much was forbidden because it was black magic.
Considered negative power. It was tragic.
He found a way to obtain all the files on it.
The more he learned, the more he was drawn to it.
He made a trip to earth, to Kronos ruined castle.
He found a way in after a lot of hassle.
He found Kronos throne room and something more.
He found Kronos diary hidden in a secret drawer.
It revealed Kronos greatest attempt.
To manipulate time itself to his own event.
Asglow was suddenly overtaken with what he found.
He had the power to become greatest around.
Kronos will be a footnote in history when he was done.
The raise of Asglow, who will be the greatest one.
What he does is yet to be told.
Keep reading, try to be bold.

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Epilog)

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Epilog)

The Wizards were home and happy again.

They had made some new friends.

Though they lived very far away.

The Wizards could zap there any old day.

The Others’, now known as Grays,

often came for a time to play.

The Wizards told them of earth, their home.

To its people, magic was no longer known.

The Wizards tried to guide them best they could.

The Grays offered to help. Felt they should.

Today, they are known as ancient aliens.

Often disguised by magic, they weighed in.

Today, known as Grays, they are around.

They are watching, it is found.

The Wizards stay way in the background.

They know people don’t want magic around.

Are they still located on Vantera now?

Probably, but no way to find out how.

They still work closely with the Grays.

Making sure things go their way.

Someday, maybe magic will return to earth.

Grays will be our friends, for what it’s worth.

As we close this chapter of Wizard history.

Keep in mind, all is still a mystery.

We have used our imagination for a story.

Just to give them a little glory.

Until next time, may all be well.

Till I have another story to tell.

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Six)

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Six)

The Others’ felt they had no option.

They lost when they had fought them.

They came real close to winning.

It had been so from the beginning.

The Wizards didn’t let them know this.

They wanted to help, was their wish.

The Others’ said ‘What do we do now?’

One will go home with you somehow.’

Once there, she will check it out.’

Determine if we can bring this about.’

Anika agreed to be the one to go.

She had abilities needed for the show.

Arrangements were made for this.

She gave Sirle a really big kiss.

Do not worry. All will be fine”

She was ready to leave on time.

‘The Others’ said it would take a week +.

Using a worm hole and top thrust,

The Others’ should be home in a rush.

Anika wasn’t sure what all that meant.

She would leave a magical scent.

A trail that the other Wizards could follow.

Once there, they would have it to follow.

The alien ships shot out of sight.

The speed they traveled was a fright.

During the trip, Anika learned what she could.

About ‘The Others’, their planet, what she should.

A week + later they circled a planet.

Big, and beautiful. Looking like granite.

The sun was extremely bright.

They said this was an increase in light.

Anika felt overwhelming magical power there.

It seemed to be coming from everywhere.

Positive and negative energy waves.

Strong enough to make things seem a haze.

Warlocks used the negative energy.

Wizards used the positive energy.

Anika would need all the help she could get.

She told ‘The Others’ she was set.

She needed all Wizards to zap there.

Her wand sent the message with power to spare.

Within minutes, wizards started zapping in.

The Others’ were totally chagrinned.

The Wizards had to form a mental matrix.

Handling positive and negative energy basics.

They had to equalize, neutralize, and stabilize.

They had to do it on the first try.

They had never tried anything to this extent before.

In theory, it should work, but when they opened that door?

They were ready and innerlocked their minds.

The Wizards were using all the energy they could find.

They were all sweating and shaking with the mental effort.

Of all their training, this was a new excerpt.

Nothing happened at first that ‘The Others’ could tell.

Then, the size of their sun slowly fell.

It became smaller and dimmer.

Soon, they knew they had a winner.

The sun was back the way it used to be.

The Wizards all fell down. Totally exhausted, you see.

The Others’ were overjoyed and helped them all up.

A huge feast was held. They drank from the cup.

They agreed to forever live in peace.

They would often get together for more feasts.

They would help each other anyway they can.

That was good news for the future of man.

In a few days, all the Wizards zapped home.

That was the farthest they would ever roam.

But, they had made new friends.

A friendship that would last till the end.

Their handling of negative energy had taken its toll.

Not something they would make a daily goal.

The Wizard’s worst nightmare was over.

They were back playing and rolling in clover.

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Five)

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Five)

The Wizards were in their meeting hall.

It was time for ‘The Others’ to call.

The Others’ fired on the meeting hall.

Their strongest weapon will kill them all.

The hall was protected by a magical shield.

It glowed brightly, but didn’t yield.

The Others’ cheered. Were they all dead?.

They came down to investigate instead.

The Wizard’s dropped the shield.

The Others’ entered to see what was revealed.

The place was vacant? How could that be?

We saw them all come in here didn’t we?’

The Wizards had already zapped out.

They were untrustworthy. They had no doubt.

The Wizards knew when ‘The Others’ fired.

They knew immediately they were liars.

They had ‘The Others’ trapped inside the hall.

They could easily kill them all.

But, that is not what they had in mind.

They would get what they want, given time.

The Wizard’s zapped in and raised all shields.

The Others’ tried to fire their fazers.

They had less effect than a laser.

The Wizards said ‘We could kill you now.’

But, we want to talk first, somehow.’

‘We want to know what brought you here?’

Is there something that you fear?’

The Others’ decided to play it straight.

Leave it to the Wizards to decide their fate.

They left their world to avoid a Nova.

Their sun was to soon go Nova.

They didn’t know what was causing this.

But, they could detect signs, against their wish.

Their world was much larger than Vantera.

They needed other worlds near here. Yeah.

Their population had to relocate to live.

Remorse was pouring out like a sieve.

The Wizards asked for more info on a Nova.

The Others’ said ‘The sun will grow. Yeah.’

‘Our home world will perish. It will burn up.’

‘No way to avoid it, regardless your luck.’

‘Over time, the sun will shrink to a dwarf star.’

‘If near, you are dead, wherever you are.’

The Wizards speculated the cause.

The magical teachers said, after a pause.

It can only be dark and light matter.’

Possibly something else, but we guess the latter.’

Drawn in by their sun, it becomes concentrated.’

It reaches a point where the sun is inundated.’

It is too much of both. The sun then expands.’

The result is death to all who are near.’

They have much that they need to fear.’

Can we do anything to help them out?’

We possibly can stop it, if things work out.’

How can you stop a Nova from happening?’

We have abilities that you obviously don’t.’

We can’t explain it, and we won’t.’

Time for you to start displaying some trust.’

If you can’t, then this meeting is a bust.’

If you can, we may save your home world.’

Nothing lost to try.—– Give it a whirl.’

Will ‘The Others’ decide to trust the Wizards?

There are desert worlds with nothing but lizards.

They would be better off on their home world.

Check back and see if they will give it a whirl.

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Four)

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Four)

The battle raged on all around.

Neither side gaining much ground.

Siran and Ansir said “Time to move.”

To zap back to their ship and include

a more complete report on things.

See what another visit to the enemy brings.

They zapped back to the ship’s hold.

They projected invisibility, as told.

Then, they explored the ship.

They found ‘The Others’ real quick.

In the control room they called a bridge.

They were trying to figure out what gives.

They knew nothing about magic,

They couldn’t detect it, which was tragic.

Tragic for them, because it upset their plans.

We have to capture an adult, if we can.’

Interview them. Do we have a plan?’

yes, that seems to be the best way.’

I will get to work on it right away.’

That one left the control room.

Ansir and Siran followed him soon.

They wrapped him in a magic grid.

Then zapped home with him hid.

They bound him with magical restraints.

They started the interview without complaints.

The other’ tried to hide his thoughts.

But, the amulet pulled them out, like blocks.

Soon, they knew all they needed to know.

Maybe now, they might let ‘The Other’ go.

But first, they made a deal with him.

Another talk would happen with them again.

The Wizards had to have more information.

A solution to it all could await them.

They detected a lot of distrust from ‘The Other.’

Ansir said ‘Maybe you should talk with my mother.’

Anika was called. She could bend wills, if needed.

She talked with ‘The Other’ while he pleaded.

All was carried out telepathically.

The Other’s’ ability for speech did lack, you see.

Anika used similar magic she had used before.

When she was ‘The Deceiver’ to her core.

It seemed to work and she convinced ‘The Other.’

They spoke the truth. Alternatives? There were no others.

The Other’ was released to return to his ship.

He delivered the Wizard’s message quick.

A meeting was planned for the next day.

The Wizards were prepared in every way.

Could ‘The Others’ be trusted to behave?

We will find out on the very next day.

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Three)

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Three)

They didn’t have to wait long for action.

‘The Others’ came with a new attraction.

The flying machines beamed down things.

Weird metal monsters with metal rings.

3 legged things that walked with a jerk.

No clue as to what made them work.

They beamed a ray that turned you to ash.

A wizard shield protected, but would it last?

Nothing conjured up had any effect.

Can’t we stop them? What the heck!!”

Then, Wizards tried a magical rope.

Tripped a machine. It fell without hope.

Robot legs thrashed about in the air.

It wasn’t going anywhere.

Siran and Ansir were nearby the thing.

Suddenly, it was hit by a blue beam.

They grabbed it and held on tight.

All were beamed up out of sight.

They were aboard in some kind of hold.

That’s when things started to unfold.

Their translator amulets worked.

They picked up mental quirks.

The Others’ talked with mental telepathy.

Siran and Ansir could hear, you see.

The amulets helped them understand.

One of them was giving commands.

Ansir and Siran stayed out of sight.

The Others’ were talking about the fight.

One of them mentioned the kids on board.

Leave them to their own accord.’

They are not a threat to us at all.’

They are lucky they can do more than crawl.’

I doubt if the adults are much smarter.’

Smash the dirty little heathens for a starter.’

Ansir and Siran dropped ‘The Others’ where they stood.

A simple knock out spell worked like it should.

They quickly located the kids.

They tied each to them via a magic grid.

Then, they zapped back down to earth.

All were o.k., for what it was worth.

The Others’, who were knocked out in the hold

had amnesia, and blamed it on getting old.

The kids told everyone all they had learned.

It helped some, but Siran and Ansir could return.

They decided against it just then.

They knew the kids were missed within

the flying machine. Best stay clear for now.

They could make plans on what is allowed.

Things are just getting started in this battle.

Tune in again and hear sabers rattle.

——————————————————-R.W. Johnson—–(2017)

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Two)

The Wizard’s Worst Nightmare (Chapter Two)

The Others’ quizzed the kids by telepathy.

The kids didn’t understand. ‘Set us free.’

They all kept up that same thought.

They used computers for what they sought.

The Others’ tried to understand.

Computers obeyed their commands.

The computers translated what kids thought.

The Others’ found out what they sought.

The Others’ began to mentally talk to them.

Communication started. It was more than a whim.

The Others’ tried to find out all they could.

The kids were smart.  Only thought what they should.

The process was going slow.

The Others’ wanted all that the kids know.

The kids wanted to find out all they could.

Reading ‘The Others’ minds would be good.

The computer would help them some.

But, the translator amulet was a better one.

Unfortunately, they did not have any.

Right now, they could use many.

They were too young to zap home on their own.

They hadn’t yet been given a wand of their own.

But, they knew a lot of things already.

Like a mental block, while they got ready.

Concerning magic, ‘The Others’ had no clue.

The kids knew ‘Don’t let them find out about you.’

Things were at a status quo for both.

So, ‘The Others’ said “It’s time for a vote”

They decided this planet could be conquered.

Though it was small, they could spread the word.

Other planets are in this galaxy.

Many will fit into our policy.

Meantime, the Wizards decided one thing.

A wizard must get on board a machine.

He/she could then zap back and report.

Then, we can give them a proper retort.

Siran and Ansir volunteered to go.

They would hide their wands for show.

They would look helpless and beg for mercy.

That way, they could get beamed up, surely.

Now, they just needed to wait.

‘The Others’ would return before it got late.

As soon as all this starts to happen,

we will return to get in on the action.
