Wedding Day For The Dragon Riders

Wedding Day For The Dragon Riders

Finally, the time had come.

Gale and Wendy would soon become as one.

He had proposed and she accepted.

Even their dragons were receptive.

They decided to marry the dragon way.

The dragons said it could be done today.

But, they had to travel to dragon land.

The place where dragons had command.

Above the clouds and beyond the rainbow.

A magical place where dragons go.

It may be on earth, then again, it may not be.

When they travel there, they will see.

They mounted their dragons and away they went.

No one but them knew of the event.

High and far the dragons flew.

Through the clouds and morning dew.

Then, they entered what looked like a funnel.

Swirling lights and colors all around the tunnel.

They were mesmerized by the sight.

They had never seen so many lights.

Colors beyond description,

sinking into their souls, like an inscription.

They felt love. They felt warmth.

They felt infinity was nothing to scorn.

They burst forth upon a beautiful land.

Flowing in colors, rivers, and sand.

Floating isles of wooded land.

Lovely jungles with perfumes grand.

Butterflies up to a foot across.

Beautiful birds, grass with a velvet gloss.

Magical creatures, even satyrs and  unicorns.

Fairies, pixies, elves, lovely creatures with horns.

All creatures of folklore lived here too.

But, here, the dragons rule.

They flew to a castle of 12 precious stones.

All polished and shining, standing alone.

Inside was the Imperial Dragon of High.

The ruler of all that could be seen by dragon eye.

He would perform the marriage ceremony.

He had approved the matrimony.

‘This is rarely done here for humans.”

“But, you both have earned this conclusion.”

‘We were there the night you saved the dragons life.”

“Mentally, we followed all the strife.”

“We were all hoping this day would come.’

“So, we say welcome everyone.”

In a traditional ceremony they were wed.

Traditional to dragons. Different for them instead.

They walked out with dragons on each side.

Blowing fire overhead to match their stride.

They spent a week in the dragons land.

They saw more than they could understand.

But, they felt that they belonged.

Their dragons sang a special song.

The Imperial Dragon said it was time to leave.

“Trouble was brewing again.” “ There is no reprieve.”

“As Dragon Riders, you must do what you can.”

“It is our way to try to help man.”

“The day is coming when dragons will be rejected.”

“Until then, you must do as expected”

The Dragon Riders returned home.

Remembering their wedding at the foot of the throne.

They were as one now, along with their dragons.

They would do their duty. They would not be lagging.

The Dragon Rider’s Dragon Gets Revenge

The Dragon Rider’s Dragon Gets Revenge

After a month, the Dragon Riders had grown close.

Their dragons too, thought each other was the most.

They all laid plans to find the ones who attacked.

Driving a lance into Wendy’s dragon to kill. A fact.

Gale would make the rounds of the pubs.

He wasn’t known around Wendy’s homeland pubs.

He would try to get a line on the attackers.

They had to be bragging. It’s a fact, he feared.

He found out right away there were 3 of them.

The last members of gang that didn’t win.

The ones who starved a town to death without fail.

Then, were made crispy critters by Wendy & Gale.

The 3 waited for Wendy and her dragon.

The attack came quick to surprise them.

They were bragging about it all over town.

Gale knew it was time to put them down.

Gale and Wendy got the jump on them one night.

They tied them up real tight.

Laid them over a horse and left town.

Took them to where no one was around.

Got a confession whose idea it was.

The same one who threw the lance, because

he wanted to be the slayer of a dragon.

He then went all over town bragging.

The dragons were waiting for them.

“Dragon justice is needed here.” Said Gale.

Wendy said “I agree with that,  without fail.”

Wendy’s dragon grabbed the leader.

Gale’s dragon made crispy critters of 2 bleeders.

Wendy’s dragon took off, holding the guys shirt

in his teeth. He was screaming for all his worth.

They got so high, they looked like two dots.

Then, the dragon flung him into a pile of rocks.

So, the dragon got his revenge.

So did Wendy and their friends.

The Dragon Riders made a vow.

They would always help the other somehow.

It seemed their dragons had bonded with each other.

Gale thought things looked good for one another.

Wendy and Gale will become as one too.

But, that story is not yet true.

When it is, we will check in again.

In the meantime, here’s to them.

The Dragon Rider Saves The Day

The Dragon Rider Saves The Day

The Dragon Rider was kicking back, about to snore.

He was thinking of his first date the day before.

He was awakened by a panicked mental alert.

His dragon was flying in for all she was worth.

‘Quick, get my big kit of medical supplies.’

‘We have got to hurry’ tears in her eyes.

‘Wendy’s dragon has been hurt. I heard his cries.’

“What? “Is Wendy o.k.? What happened?”

‘It was all due to a plan to trap them.’

He grabbed the medical supplies and climbed on.

His dragon took off. In no time they were gone.

His dragon was flying like a bat out of hell.

She just kept thinking: ‘I hope he will be well.’

In time, they headed for a narrow canyon.

He thought: ‘Is this where they landed then?’

‘Yes, he was hurt badly, but flew  safely away.’

‘Is Wendy o.k.? Does she know were on the way?’

‘Yes, and yes.’ ‘ I have relayed to him we are near.’

‘If we don’t hurry, death will be near.’

They zoomed down and landed safely.

Wendy came running, tearful and pasty.

They all rushed to her dragon’s side.

There was a large gash in his hide.

Gale explained that his dragon is a healer.

“Like a doctor to us”, as his dragon kneeled near.

He could hear his dragon’s thoughts.

Wendy could hear her dragon’s thoughts.

But they couldn’t hear  each others.

Gale said: “I will help her, though, I have my druthers.”

“She will work through me through mind control.”

“We have done it before, so this I know.”

He worked like in a trance, over the wound.

Reaching in, sprinkling herbs, etc. Soon,

he started suturing with a thin thread.

There was lots of blood from where he bled.

Gradually, the wound started to close.

A heavier suture got this done, unopposed.

Finally, Gale came out of his trance.

He was exhausted. He held a piece of lance.

“This is what has caused this wound.’

“Yes.” Wendy said. “It was thrown by a goon.”

“They were near where I live.”

“They ambushed us.”  She was livid.

“We will take care of them later.”

“First, we have to tend to your dragon’s fate here.”

For two days they guarded and nursed her dragon.

Then, they slowly flew to Gale’s cave, or tried then.

They had to stop often to rest.

Finally, they made it at sunset.

“We will be safe here.”

“You will have to stay till he is healthy, I fear.”

“I will be more than happy to stay.”

“I will help all I can, o.k.?”

It took a month for the wound to totally heal.

About then he took flight . ‘How does it feel?’

He told Wendy he felt great.

Did an ariel summersault and a little shake.

“Well, I guess it’s time for us to go.”

“Stay. We have a certain place to go.”

“Where is that?” Wendy asked.

“To destroy the ones who made this gash.”

He pointed to the scar on her dragon.

“Your dragon is no longer lagging.”

They made plans over the next few days.

But, that’s another story to display.

Dragon Rider’s First Date

       Dragon Rider’s First Date

The date had finally arrived.

The day for which he had strived.

He was to meet up with Wendy.

His riding tricks had gotten trendy.

She zoomed down and landed by his side.

Her hair was messed up from the ride.

“Hello Gale.” She said with a smile.

“Hi Wendy” He said in awhile.

He was struck silent for awhile by her beauty.

He did remember she was a real cutie.

“What have you got planned for the day?”

“Follow me. I’ll show you the way.”

They went to a high mountain.

Near the top,—– you found them.

There was a cave up there behind a ledge.

Room for the dragons on the ledge.

The cave was his home away from home.

“This place is safe. Only reached by flight.”

“Here I often spend the night.”

He had a terrific spread laid out.

“Have some lunch.” He said with doubt.

“I would love to.” As she started digging in..

“This is quite delicious.” She said with a grin.

“Thanks, I do cook some.”

“You would be a good catch for someone.”

“Thanks” He said shyly, with a blush.

“Sorry, I didn’t want to rush.”

They moved on to other things.

Small talk. Getting acquainted. The dragons sing.

Later, he said: “Let’s go for a flight.”

“On that idea, I won’t try to fight.”

Soon, they took to the air.

Each showing off, with tricks to spare.

After awhile, they heard noise below.

A coach was being robbed. “Let’s go”

They swept down and burned the robbers pants.

They all began to cuss and rant.

Soon, they were subdued and ready for jail.

The wealthy aristocrat began to wail.

“Thank you. Thank you. I owe you both much.”

“That is o.k. We will keep in touch.”

“We may need your help sometime.”

“We will surely keep you in mind.”

They took to the air and returned to the cave.

She had agreed with the deal they had made.

Finally, she said “It’s been a great day.”

“Very soon, I will be back this way.”

“I can hardly wait” Gale said.

He was dreaming of her when he went to bed.

The Revenge Of Kronos (Epilog)

      The Revenge Of Kronos (Epilog)

After all things settled down,

Sirle and Anika were seen hanging around.

There was a true romance brewing here.

Anika wanted him near. That was clear.

She found that he was skilled in many things.

She took him to the 8th parallel universe.

The home of the Wizards, as written in verse.

They practiced every form of self defense.

He was near her equal in many events.

Then, some Wizards said: “We detect magic.”

“Don’t worry Anika. This is not tragic.”

“We detect it in Sirle here.”

She reached out and pulled him near.

“Could it be his magic is latent?”

“We can awaken it. Just say your intent”

Sirle stated he wished to do magic too.

They said “It is totally up to you.”

They awakened his abilities with a spell.

He then registered as powerful as hell.

He now had a lot to learn.

Anika made him a magic bookworm.

He was a fast learner, and did great.

Anika said “I need to practice before it’s too late.”

They both had a good laugh over that.

They were insuperable, that was a fact.

Before long Sirle proposed marriage.

Anika almost fainted and had to be carried.

They decided to get married in the church.

The one in Jeru Salem, back on earth.

It was the biggest wedding ever seen.

They decided to make a home on the 8th world, it seems.

There, he started the True Church Of God.

They hadn’t had one yet, which was odd.

So ends the story of Anika and Sirle.

They are as happy as a smile.

As for Kronos, if you listen close, you will see.

You can hear him screaming for eternity.

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 7)

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 7)

All the Warlocks arrived.

They circled the church with pride.

Magic blasted out all windows and doors.

They all flew forward, like a giant hoard.

They flew in doors and windows.

Everyone within began to tremble.

The Warlocks immediately cast a spell.

Most cast a shield to protect, as well.

Others cast killing magic at those inside.

Magic was flying far and wide.

Sirle covered Anika to keep her safe.

She was surprised, but this wasn’t her fate.

She never had a man protect her before.

She was liking it more and more.

She put her arm around him and hugged him close.

Sirle thought that she was the very most.

As each spell shot out, the Warlock fell to dust.

All were so inflamed by their hatred and lust,

that they didn’t notice what was happening.

When they did, they fought harder, zapping.

Soon, every Warlock was turned to dust.

Wizards looked at the mess with disgust.

Kronos saw the Warlocks fly into the church.

“Victory is ours!! Let’s toast to what it’s worth.”

He poured a drink for Ikurea and himself.

He quickly slipped hemlock in hers. He felt

a little sorry for what he did , but he would

not share his empire, even if he should.

They raised their glasses and drank them dry.

Soon, Ikurea fell to the floor. Dead to the sky.

“Sorry Ikurea, maybe I did love you.”

“But, now, I have other things to do.”

“Soon Anika will be brought here.”

“She is going to have much to fear.”

Then, suddenly, the Black Fire appeared.

A demon was within, who Kronos feared.

“Your victory has failed.” the demon said.

“Everyone of your army is dead.”

“How can that be ??” Kronos stammered.

“They were annihilated by God’s hammer.”

“Anika has beaten you again.”

“There was no way in hell you could ever win.”

“Now, you MUST pay the price.”

“I told you failure would NOT be nice.”

The demon beckoned Kronos to him.

Kronos tried to resist, but couldn’t win.

Kronos was pulled into the Black Fire.

He instantly aged 800+ years. How dire.

He was screaming as the demon pulled him down.

No trace of him was ever found.

Immediately, the cavern caved in.

Sealing within it all the sin.

Back at the church, the Normals were cheering.

They were praising Anika, but she wasn’t hearing.

She said “The hero here today was Jeru.”

“Now, I have a proposal for all of you.”

“To honor this great Wizard for eternity”

“I want you to change the name of the city with me.”

“Instead of Salem, it will now be called Jeru Salem.”

So, it became so. Over the years, it became Jerusalem.

The Wizards magically repaired the church.

After the tonic finally became inert.

Anika and Sirle were becoming close.

They had gotten rid of an evil ‘ghost.’

So ends the story of Kronos Revenge.

May all stay in peace until the end.

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 6)

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 6)

Kronos and Ikurea were watching her crystal ball.

By looking in it, they could see all.

There were skirmishes here and there.

His Warlocks were fighting everywhere.

Things seemed to be going his way.

“Anika and the Wizards would rule the day

they thought they could beat Kronos!”

“They will soon learn I am no ghost.”

Then, he saw that the Wizards seemed to be

moving toward a central point, to me.

He said “What is that place they go?”

Ikurea said “The Church Of The True God, you know.”

“Ahh, that figures. That is holy ground to them.”

“They must think their God will save them.”

“I will tell all Warlocks thru their wands,

to attack the place. Soon, they will be gone.”

“We will make a mockery of their God.”

“I am the one carrying the iron rod!!”

“Kill all in their sanctuary, except Anika”

“Bring her to me!!. I will meet ya.”

“She will bow to me before I do her in.”

“There is no way in hell that she can win.”

Jeru was bringing buckets of the tonic by wagon.

He was being safe, yet smart, like a dragon.

He was nearing the church,

when a Warlock hit him with a frozen curse.

Wizards saw him fall off the wagon.

The Warlock zapped away.  He wasn’t lagging.

Anika rushed to his side.

He was gone. No way to save his hide.

In his frozen state, he looked like he was saying a word.

She began to wonder if it could be heard.

She unfroze his lungs and vocal cords.

Her ear was close to his mouth,  air roared.

It sounded to her like “salt!!”

What did he mean by that? She halted.

“Get all these buckets to the church.”

All on the wagon was brought in the church.

Anika said ”Start pouring the tonic into the ditch.”

“What about this bag of salt that came with it?”

Then, it hit her like a thunderbolt from  head to  feet.

“HALT!!” she yelled. “Add a pinch of salt to each.”

“Are you sure of this?” asked a couple of Wizards.

“Yes!!” “Salt is the final ingredient,—- I’m sure.”

They added the salt, like it was a cure.

The tonic began to bubble. It became the color of dirt.

They all grabbed a bucket and went to work.

Once the ditch was completely filled,

it was hard to see the tonic. It had chilled.

They all rushed back inside.

Just before the first Warlocks arrived.

Would the tonic work? Or, was Anika wrong?

When I return, I will reveal that song.

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 5)

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 5)

The Chief Herbal Wizard had a plan.

“If it will work.—- I think it can.”

He had a tonic that was new.

It was infused with magic too.

“When the final ingredient is introduced,

you’ll have about an hour before it’s capote.”

“Anyone who crosses over it,

then does magic, will lose their grip.”

“They will instantly be turned to ash.”

“No more Warlocks to bug our ass.”

“How to put it to use? I don’t have a plan.”

“I think I do”, said Anika, as she raised her hand.

“We will get all Warlocks in a central place.”

“It will be surrounded by a small ditch in place.”

“The ditch will be filled with the tonic.”

“We’ll already be inside. How ironic.”

“The Warlocks will try to destroy us with magic.”

“They will think we’re trapped. It will be tragic.”

“But, when they use magic they are turned to ash.

“Their hatred will drive them to their last.”

“And where would this place be, pray tell?”

“The Church Of The True God in Salem”

“The city’s biggest church Normals pray in.”

“The head priest is a man named Sirle.”

“I met him after the second war,” Anika smiled.

“I am sure he will help us out.”

“He is a man of God, without a doubt.”

They took Anika at her word.

If she said it would, it would occur.

The plans were made and details worked out.

Anika went to see Sirle. He gave a shout.

“Hi, Anika. It’s good to see you again.”

“Trouble is brewing, right to the brim.”

“That’s why I’m here. We need some help.”

“I came to you because I know how you felt.”

“You said back then, that you

wished there was more that you could do.”

Well, now there is, if you don’t mind?”

“I’ll always help you Anika, any time.”

She stared into his beautiful blue eyes.

They looked almost like they could hypnotize.

She said “Thank you,” as she blushed.

She told him her plan. “It depends on us.”

He set some altar boys to work digging the ditch.

They were young and energetic. They were quick.

Anika said goodbye, after lingering for awhile.

She left Sirle with a lingering smile.

Back at ‘home’ Jeru, the Chief Herbal Wizard,

was hard at work making the tonic, she heard.

He said he would physically bring it there.

He didn’t want magic used anywhere.

He was cautious. He didn’t want it to fail.

He would leave no magical trail.

All the preparations took some time.

We will look in again to see what we find.

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 4)

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 4)

Kronos and Ikurea finally had their army trained.

They would enslave the Normals, he explained.

They were not to be nice about it.

“Are they better than insects? I doubt it.”

The Warlocks swept over the land.

Raising havoc with almost every man.

They enslaved the Normals, or made them run.

Made some cluck like a chicken, just for fun.

Some were killed in various ways.

The Warlocks laughed, enjoying their slaves.

Soon, the Normals cried for help.

Their united plea was felt.

The High Seer of the Wizards picked up their cry.

He told the Power Of 12 the reason way.

They were shocked to hear the news.

They told Anika and added their views.

All the Wizards were gathered together.

They planned a trip to earth for the better.

Once ‘home,’ they would make plans.

First, they would find out all they can.

They all zapped ‘home.’ A quick trip.

Their ‘home’ on earth was well hidden by a fix.

Magic kept it invisible to all.

An impenetrable shield to prevent a fall.

Once all were there, they send out teams.

Invisible and not detected by smell, it seems.

They reported back the horrible state of affairs.

Kronos still ‘alive’, was too much to bare.

They thought he died after the first Magician’s War.

He survived 800+ years and the second war??

Dark magic must be keeping him alive.

His hatred must be giving him his drive.

He had to be stopped, that much was clear.

They all looked to Anika, for which she feared.

“I tried to strip one Warlock of his magic.”

“It had no effect. It was tragic.”

“Somehow they have learned to overcome it.”

“We must beat them, but it will take a good trick.”

“If we fight them one on one, they will win.’

“We cannot kill another, like them.”

“Does anyone have any ideas?”

“Some sort of plan that will help to free us?”

The chief Herbal Wizard had a plan.

To hear what it is, come back, if you can.

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 3)

The Revenge Of Kronos (Chapter 3)

Anika was enjoying the sunny day.

She had been perfecting her skills today.

She was excellent with the longbow.

The arrows flew where she wanted them to go.

Her accuracy was mostly one hundred percent.

Her bow went with her where ever she went.

She was becoming a Chakram expert winner.

A circular metal disk, razor sharp, open center.

About 12” diameter. It would return when thrown.

She was by far the best with it, it was shown.

She was a formidable warrior all around.

Besides being a sorceress that knew no bounds.

She stood about 6 feet tall. Long blonde hair

and a figure that would make men stare.

She was known as The Great Deceiver.

Anyone who knew her history would believe her.

She could ‘deceive’ the soul to reject magic.

She stripped every Warlock of their magic.

No one had ever seen such incredible power before.

She gave God the credit. She was modest to the core.

This took place in the second Magician’s War.

Hopefully, she ended it forever more.

Little did she, or the other Wizards know

that Kronos was alive and would revive the show.

They all lived in the 8th parallel universe from earth.

Kronos never knew where they all went. He cursed.

But, he knew he could draw them all back.

Once he started treating Normals like they were rats.

This was a major part of his plan.

To win back his empire as fast as he can.

To do so, the Wizards must be exterminated.

They stood for God and good. The Normals were elated.

Kronos didn’t believe in God. Just his Black Arts.

He wanted only to rip the ‘good ones’ apart.

Soon, his army would be trained.

Then, nothing else need be explained.

His actions would speak for themselves.

A future tale, of which we cannot now dwell.
