The Chronicles Of Kronos (Chapter 8)
Kronos and Asglow got back to work.
Mostly, it was research. Where does it lerk?
There had to be something about it here.
So many books & scrolls to clear.
They had a small fragment from some.
A smidgeon from another one.
Maybe, a picture was starting to form.
But, this project was so big, they were torn.
It just didn’t seem possible.
For such a thing to be done would be awful.
What in the world were those demons planning?
Maybe we should start a little scanning?
In the meantime, Orin had a private meeting.
In the church, where priests were completing
a prayer spell to keep demons out.
Orin didn’t want them hearing what it was about.
It was announced as a simple prayer meeting.
All were welcome, with a greeting.
Orin’s plan was a simple one.
He would use the aliens ship as a pun.
A ruse to mislead the demons on their plan.
He believed the demons would stop the ship, if they can.
Meanwhile, by all indications, the portals were open.
The original way the wizards got to Vantera, hooping
Warlocks would not follow them through the 7 portals.
Now, they would only have to go through the first portal.
Then, they could zap to the castle from there.
“What if the portal doesn’t lead anywhere?”
“By all indications it is still in place.”
“It is a gamble I am willing to take.”
Finally, they heard from the aliens.
The aliens would help, hopefully, without failing them.
Then Orin met with the aliens face to face.
The church was where the meeting took place.
Orin told the aliens the entire story.
The aliens said “This could get gory.”
“We hope you are only prevented from flying away.”
“And, that you will live to fight another day.”
“Thanks. We are willing to risk it.”
“For a reward we only want a few of Anika’s bisket’s.”
Orin easily agreed to those terms.
Plans were made and a time was set.
Exactly what took place, I don’t know yet.
But, when I do I will write it down.
I won’t have to wait long, I have found.
