Dragon Rider’s First Date

       Dragon Rider’s First Date

The date had finally arrived.

The day for which he had strived.

He was to meet up with Wendy.

His riding tricks had gotten trendy.

She zoomed down and landed by his side.

Her hair was messed up from the ride.

“Hello Gale.” She said with a smile.

“Hi Wendy” He said in awhile.

He was struck silent for awhile by her beauty.

He did remember she was a real cutie.

“What have you got planned for the day?”

“Follow me. I’ll show you the way.”

They went to a high mountain.

Near the top,—– you found them.

There was a cave up there behind a ledge.

Room for the dragons on the ledge.

The cave was his home away from home.

“This place is safe. Only reached by flight.”

“Here I often spend the night.”

He had a terrific spread laid out.

“Have some lunch.” He said with doubt.

“I would love to.” As she started digging in..

“This is quite delicious.” She said with a grin.

“Thanks, I do cook some.”

“You would be a good catch for someone.”

“Thanks” He said shyly, with a blush.

“Sorry, I didn’t want to rush.”

They moved on to other things.

Small talk. Getting acquainted. The dragons sing.

Later, he said: “Let’s go for a flight.”

“On that idea, I won’t try to fight.”

Soon, they took to the air.

Each showing off, with tricks to spare.

After awhile, they heard noise below.

A coach was being robbed. “Let’s go”

They swept down and burned the robbers pants.

They all began to cuss and rant.

Soon, they were subdued and ready for jail.

The wealthy aristocrat began to wail.

“Thank you. Thank you. I owe you both much.”

“That is o.k. We will keep in touch.”

“We may need your help sometime.”

“We will surely keep you in mind.”

They took to the air and returned to the cave.

She had agreed with the deal they had made.

Finally, she said “It’s been a great day.”

“Very soon, I will be back this way.”

“I can hardly wait” Gale said.

He was dreaming of her when he went to bed.

Love: The Great Unknown

       Love: The Great Unknown

Reach a certain age and you will know

that love is the strongest emotion to flow.

Hormones kick in and love is there.

It is all around you everywhere.

If there is no confusion in gender,

you will be shocked at what it can render.

I am only speaking heterosexually.

The feelings you feel can set you free.

Eventually, you find the love of your life.

On the way, there may be pain and strife.

Mainly because love is so overwhelming,

It covers all areas, without even telling.

With luck, your love will be your helpmate.

Your soul mate, that shares your fate.

Your hearts are entwined as one.

Sharing all that’s seen and done.

Such a thing can be heaven on earth.

You’ll never know just what it’s worth.

If this happens to not be your fate,

start working harder, before it’s too late.

You And I

 You And I

This I know.

It’s very clear.

I am happy

when you’re near.

I can’t wait

till the day.

You say you’re mine.

We’re on our way.

Just a little time to call our own.

Before too long, we’ll buy a home.

Then we will have a child or two.

At least one, I’ll name after you.

Before long will come the day.

When we’ll both say it’s o.k.

When you’re near

I’m on cloud nine.

I don’t care

If it’s all the time.

When I try

to think it through.

Every thing

ends with you.

Just a little time to call our own.

Before too long, we’ll buy a home.

Then we’ll have a child or two.

At least one, I’ll name after you.

Before long will come the day.

When we’ll both say it’s o.k.

Live With It

Live With It

You know it.

I know it too.

There has to be something better for me and you.

We tried.

And we cried.

We thought we did all that we could do.

Things suck.

Were in a rut.

We both are feeling down and blue.

We need a change.

That much is plain.

Just sailing away would be pretty cool.

In the end.

We comprehend.

You can never run away from you.

The Earthquake

               The Earthquake

I felt the earth move under my feet.

I could barely stand up on the street.

Frightened and big eyed, I looked around.

Trees were swaying, buildings falling down.

I took off and ran for the grass.

The shaking knocked me on my ass.

I was sitting in the middle of a lawn.

Everything around was almost gone.

I heard yelling and crying from the mess.

Someone trapped within, was my guess.

Myself, and several others were safe.

We started helping others to escape.

That day, I was just out for a walk.

I was thinking of heading for the dock.

Next thing I know, all is gone.

I see a doe running with its fawn.

I start digging through some rubble.

I heard a female voice in trouble.

Soon, I tunneled my way into her.

A beautiful girl, alive for sure.

Her leg was wedged under a bookcase.

I lifted it up slowly, just in case.

Luckily, her leg wasn’t broken.

Only bruised, a lucky token.

I said “Anyone else trapped in here?”

“No, I live alone.” She said in fear.

“At least, I did live here. No more now.”

“I think I lost my home too, somehow.”

“You mean you don’t know yet?”

My home was gone too, was a safe bet.

“I live a few blocks from here.”

“I was out for a walk.” “ I am pretty near.”

“Then, let’s go see if your house is there.”

“You don’t have to go anywhere.”

“I am still in shock. This house is bare.”

“I will help you. Is anybody there?”

“No, I live alone too.” I said.

“Oh, I thought maybe you were wed.”

“Not yet. Haven’t met the right one.”

So, off we went to see what was done.

On the way, I learned her name.

I told her mine. Close to the same.

My house had minimal damaged.

I told her that I could manage.

She insisted on helping me clean up.

I didn’t have a lot of stuff.

It took all day. Then, I took her to dinner.

It had to be fast food, but, it was a winner.

She had no where to stay. I had a spare room.

WE moved her stuff there real soon.

Within the month we both knew.

She wasn’t moving out. Didn’t want to.

I have found who I was searching for.

An earthquake brought her to my door.

From the disaster came a new life.

Phoenix is what we named our first child.

From the ashes rose new life, running wild.

Any way you look at this we win.

Enough love to carry us to the end.

The Mastery Of Life

             The Mastery Of Life

The mastery of life never comes easy.

If it was, you would never leave me.

But, you did and my emotions died.

I felt so bad, I couldn’t cry if I tried.

I remember back to the candy store.

I always saw you going in the door.

She must love candy, I thought to myself.

Yet, you’re slim, the body of an elf.

Finally, I followed you in the store.

I found out what you were there for.

You worked there. I should have known.

By then, my fantasies. were full blown.

I came to get candy every day.

Enough so, that I heard you say:

“Are you a candy junkie?”

“No, or I would be a chunky monkey.”

“I come in just to see you.”

You were shocked through and through.

“Are you kidding me?”, you said.

“If not true, I’d rather be dead.”

Somehow, we ended up on a date.

For a long time things went great.

Things were to a commitment stage.

Then, we turned to the next page.

You went your way and I went mine.

It wasn’t until some other time.

You were gone for good, somehow.

I am not understanding, even now.

The mastery of life is beyond my grasp.

Like the gold ring I miss, going by too fast.

The lessons of life never come easy.

No one ever said they were easy peasy.

The parade is going by, but I’m on the side.

All I have to show is a little pride.

In the school of hard knocks I’m head of class.

I need to graduate. I don’t want to be brash.

Maggie May, Part II

                  Maggie May, Part II

Oh, Maggie, I finally got on back to school.

But, I still had to keep coming home to you.

I am at school while you are at work.

When home, first thing, you rip off my shirt.

Time away makes you horny. What a quirk.

I always secretly hoped we could make this work.

For sexual desire, you’re second to none.

But, you never want to go out just for fun.

Maggie May, I finally got back in school.

But, I can’t seem to get away from you.

You pull me in with your sexual ways.

We don’t save it for the rainy days.

Your sexual drive never runs low.

Though you’re older, you’re ready to go.

It takes all I have to keep up with you.

Cougars are powerful. I may be a fool.

Maggie, this may sound a little odd to you.

But, life has more to offer than sex and school.

It seems you are only interested in the one thing.

I would like to find out what else life can bring.

Other guys say I’m the luckiest man alive.

Finding a woman with your sex drive.

They don’t know what I really want to do,

is to be brave enough to walk out on you.

Maggie May, I finally got  back in school.

But, I can’t seem to get away from you.

You pull me in with your sexual ways.

We don’t save it for the rainy days.

Your sexual drive never runs low.

Though, you’re older, you’re ready to go.

Into Something Good

       Into Something Good

She was flirting a lot with me.

Maybe she thought that I didn’t see.

She made her actions more obvious yet.

Wanted to make sure I didn’t forget.

Finally, I walked over to her table.

I started talking with her as I was able.

I was always pretty shy.

It may surprise you for a guy such as I.

I was tall, muscular, and quite handsome.

Or, so I have been told by female ones.

We hit it off fairly smoothly.

I didn’t mind. I wasn’t choosy.

After a few drinks, we decided to leave.

Go where there is live music, you see.

We danced up a storm for several hours.

Time went by fast. The night was ours.

Before long, it was time to say goodnight.

We both agreed our time was out of sight.

We decided to try it again real soon.

On the drive home, I wanted to swoon.

I was a good boy, like I should.

Still, it seems, I am into something good.

Burning Love Found

 Burning Love Found

Our love is alive.

So it begins.

Laying our hearts on the table.

Who’s gonna win?

Our love is on fire.

Burning within.

Two hearts welded together.

Both of us win.

I’ve lived all my life.

Trying to avoid love and strife.

Mostly one night stands.

I thought I was the man.

I was safe till I met you.

This feeling is something new.

I was left wanting more.

It was quickly melting my core.

I learned that you felt the same.

You have always avoided the pain.

This was a new feeling for you.

Exposing your heart is something new.

Our love is alive.

So it begins.

Laying our hearts on the table.

Who’s gonna win.

Our love is on fire.

Burning within.

Two hearts welded together.

Both of us win.
