Burning Love Found

 Burning Love Found

Our love is alive.

So it begins.

Laying our hearts on the table.

Who’s gonna win?

Our love is on fire.

Burning within.

Two hearts welded together.

Both of us win.

I’ve lived all my life.

Trying to avoid love and strife.

Mostly one night stands.

I thought I was the man.

I was safe till I met you.

This feeling is something new.

I was left wanting more.

It was quickly melting my core.

I learned that you felt the same.

You have always avoided the pain.

This was a new feeling for you.

Exposing your heart is something new.

Our love is alive.

So it begins.

Laying our hearts on the table.

Who’s gonna win.

Our love is on fire.

Burning within.

Two hearts welded together.

Both of us win.

End Time Prophet??

              End Time Prophet??

My life is hanging by a very thin thread.

I can’t tell you what’s running through my head.

Ohh, ohh, ohh, —-not a lire.

All the people keep coming around.

They want the wisdom I can pass down.

Ohh, ohh, ohh, —not a lire.

Can he give you what you’re praying for?

Will you have to show him the door?

There are others who are wondering too.

What will be the end of you.?

The answer is written on the wall.

They will continue till they fall.

Many wonder what this world is coming to.

That is why I am praying for you.

The sky grows dark as they gather around.

There is moisture on the ground.

Ohh, ohh, ohh, —not a lire.

The final vision is coming fast now.

The people can make it through somehow.

Ohh, ohh, ohh, —not a lire.

Yes, the answer is written on the wall.

The prophets before have seen it all.

Small differences will mean very little.

You have to dance when He plays His fiddle.

The beat is fast, the tempo uplifting.

It is now time for the sifting.

Those marked with love will make it through.

In the hand or forehead is nothing new.

It is here with blinding speed.

None are sure just how to proceed.

Ohh, ohh, ohh, —not a lire.

Love is the greatest weapon of all.

If you can’t love, then you will fall.

Ohh, ohh, ohh, —not a lire.

It’s A Long Way To Never

It’s  A Long Way To Never

We’ve been together a long, long time.

Since being introduced by a friend of mine.

I love living together, just you and me.

But, there’s so much more I want it to be.

It seems it’s a long way to never.

I know we belong together.

We are true to one another.

Neither would want any other.

I want to seal it with a ring.

Do you know what I mean?

You avoid the thought like a plague.

You say you want bacon and eggs.

Anything to change the subject.

Don’t you think it will fit our budget?

Are you afraid of the commitment?

It’s time you started to get with it.

If our love is true, time to tell others.

We are one till one dies, or the other.

It seems it’s a long way to never.

I know we belong together.

We are true to one another.

Neither would want any other.

I want to seal it with a ring.

Do you know what I mean?

Maybe it is something that will never be.

I know that you want to be with me.

Yet, marriage is something that scares you.

What do you think it would make me do?

Coming Home

         Coming Home

I have been on the road.

Looking for some answers.

Mostly in automatic mode.

The doubts are like a cancer.

You say you want me.

But, you never came to get me.

So, I began to doubt you.

There is something about you.

That makes me want to say.

Maybe tomorrow will be the day.

I think time will change it all.

So, new places for me to see.

It beats waiting for your call.

Wondering if you’ll set me free.

I never see or hear from you.

I have set my hopes too high.

Maybe I should see this through.

Come home, even if it’s to cry.

You say you want me.

But, you never came to get me.

So, I began to doubt you.

There is something about you.

That makes me want to say.

Maybe tomorrow will be the day.

I have caught the last flight home.

I hope this is the right thing to do.

Hopefully, I will never have to roam.

If you tell me what I want you to.

It Was A Lie

             It Was A Lie

I didn’t want you to go away.

Your place is here by my side.

Tell me why you wouldn’t stay?

I wasn’t taking you for a ride.

Someone has been telling you lies.

Someone who was jealous of us.

I couldn’t lie to you, even if I tried

There is just no need for all the fuss.

You’re the one I’ve always dreamed of.

I felt you were sent from God above.

I cherish you more than life itself.

This is the worst I have ever felt.

You’re hurting from a lie that’s not true.

Please,—– put it all behind you

I was meant for you and you for me.

The happiness is us together, you see.

The best times were the two of us.

I never wanted anyone but you.

Have total faith and all your trust

that I am true. On this point you must.

Come back. We must make up the time.

I’m so into you. There is no other.

I want to know you are once again mine.

Please believe me. I don’t want another.

You’re the one I‘ve always dreamed of.

I felt you were sent from God above.

I cherish you more than life itself.

This is the worst I have ever felt.

You’re hurting from a lie that’s not true.

Please,—–put it all behind you.

I was meant for you and you for me.

The happiness is us together, you see.

Social Fears

       Social Fears

You seem to know

 when there’s no way out.

You lay low.

You’re not out and about.

Call you wise.

Call you afraid of it all.

The other guys

saw you at the mall.

You’re a creeper.

You come and go.

You’re not a seeker.

You just lay low.

You stir the pot.

Then disappear.

Likely, as not,

it’s all out of fear.

When trouble brews,

you have been seen around.

If only I knew,

I could have made you found.

This is it.

Face up to your actions.

I’ll never quit,

to get an extraction.

You’re a creeper.

You come and go.

You’re not a seeker.

You just lay low.

You stir the pot.

Then disappear.

Likely, as not,

it’s all out of fear.

What’s the game?

Why do you always do this?

It’s not the fame.

But, it is a real risk.

It’s just you.

It is how you are.

Fear is it.

But, why be afraid at all?

You don’t fit.

Chill out. Just have a ball.

Clean Conscience

              Clean Conscience

I have felt upside down and turned around.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

It was just a rouse till you turned me loose.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

You were misleading and mostly unheeding.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

You were demanding and not understanding.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

I am not proud.

I’m just one of the crowd.

I try to be fair.

Though, it gets me nowhere.

I stick by my word.

My sincerity is not inferred.

You’re not that way.

I can’t believe a thing you say.

You cheated, lied, and even cried.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

I came to know you put on quite a show.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

It was all an act, you were a real brat.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

You were not true, I ended up the fool.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

I am not proud.

I am one of the crowd.

I try to be fair.

Though, it gets me nowhere.

I stick by my word.

My sincerity is not inferred.

You’re not that way.

I can’t believe a thing you say.

Now, you’re free to look for another me.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

I hope he is cool and can see through you.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

It will be hard cause you’re a real card.

But, I kept my conscience clean.

He could drop you and not be a fool.

But I kept my conscience clean.

Co- Dependent?

            Co Dependent??

I needed you then. I need you now.

You could always show me how.

You would show me a better way.

That’s why I wanted you to stay.

Time has passed, but little changed.

I tell you truly, I still feel the same.

As usual, you have much work to do.

I know you will help me see it through.

I wanted more. From the very start.

You reigned me in. It’s quite an art.

You kept me from becoming a fool.

That is why I will always need you.

You rule my very soul.

I pray you’ll never go.

Without you, I would be lost.

I want you near at any cost.

You never asked a thing in return.

You acted as if you weren’t concerned.

I am willing to do all you need.

It has always been my creed.

But, that’s not how I want it to be.

You mean so very much to me.

All I do is done in love from my heart.

That’s why I wish we will never  part.

I wanted more from the very start.

You reigned me in. It’s quite an art.

You kept me from becoming a fool.

That is why I will always need you.

You rule my very soul.

I pray you’ll never go.

Without you, I would be lost.

I want you near at any cost.

Not Quite Grown Up

Not Quite Grown Up

I met you and I couldn’t believe it.
But, I was glad to just receive it.
The kind of fun I have with you.
It seems no one else will do.

Just two kids, having a ball.
Doing things we did when small.
Now that we are all grown up.
You might think we’re in a rut.
Stuck in our adult acting ways.
Always the same, day after day.
But, we’re just two kids, having a ball.
Doing the things we did when small.

They would tell me: “Grow up.”
Act your age. Don’t be a butt.
Then I met you and off we went.
Peter Pan syndrome is heaven sent.

We would play into one another.
Pass a pole and say “Bread & butter.”
Having more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
Having a blast. Never feeling funky.

Just two kids, having a ball.
Doing things we did when small.
Now that we are all grown up.
You might think we we’re in a rut.
Stuck in our adult acting ways.
Always the same, day after day.
But, we’re just two kids, having a ball.
Doing the things we did when small.

We act mature when we need to.
But,—– between me and you.
It’s more fun to act like a kid.
It causes other adults to flip their lid.

Start All Over

Start All Over

Seems I’m surrounded by jokers and liars.
They believe T V, radio, & what’s on the wires.
The truth is out there, but it’s hard to find.
Look long enough & it can blow your mind.

This cacophony has become a way of life.
Constantly jostled, both me & my wife.
Told this ‘garbage’ here & that ‘bs’ there.
Is there no truth out there anywhere?

We have to start all over.
Start all over.
We must be much bolder.
Things can’t get much colder.
Start now, before we get older.
We have to start all over.
Start all over.

We have to search till we find truth.
Not talking about The Fountain Of Youth.
The truth of it all, without any lies.
We may find a ‘big’ surprise.

There is lies in almost everything.
This is the worst mess I’ve ever seen.
Get jerked right, then get jerked left.
It is all lies. My mind is set.

We have to start all over.
Start all over.
We must be much bolder.
Things can’t get much colder.
Start now, before we get older.
We have to start all over.
Start all over.

We found the truth. Praise the Lord.
All who want can come aboard.
We are headed for the promised land.
We found truth in His loving hand.

We can cut right through the lies.
The ‘truth’ has opened our eyes.
The ‘truth’ as it is in the Lord.
It exposes the lies of the hoard.

We got to start all over.
Start all over.
We are now much bolder.
Things will not get colder.
We accepted now, before we were older.
We got to start all over.
Start all over.
