Society Has Lost Sight

Society Has Lost Sight

Society is looking real sad.

Everything is turning bad.

People want it given to them.

They will bitch until the end.

Young people want it all.

Yet, not willing to recall.

How to succeed in business.

Or,  whatever it is they wish.

The world owes them a living.

Their country is good at giving.

But, still they burn the flag.

Protest all in which they lag.

They want, , still they taunt.

No cure for what they want.

Hang them with a new rope.

They will bitch without hope.

What I am trying to say.

How did they get here today?

They forgot where they came from.

Now, they are little better than scum.

Time to study our real past.

Take a look at what will last.

Have pride in your endeavors

True, it won’t last forever.

Yet, it should not end this way.

Take pride in what our past does say.

Live like a true American.

Not like a Socialist veteran.

Work hard and try to succeed.

No more whining. No need to plead.

Ask not what your government can do for you.

Ask what you can do for your government too.

Lonely At Christmas

        Lonely At Christmas

I don’t wanna be lonely no more.

I don’t wanna answer the door.

I know it means more heartache for me.

All I want is to really be free.

Free from all the pain and hurting inside.

I want more than just to know I tried.

I’ve been down and lonely for so long.

I have no idea where I went wrong.

I see people enjoying each other’s love.

Like blessings sent from God above.

I have never been able to enjoy this.

It is truly something to bring bliss.

Just four walls and a deck of cards.

A table that rocks to make it hard.

I spend my time playing solitaire.

Wishing for a call from anywhere.

The holiday season is worst of all.

Celebrating Christmas is no ball.

I sit here carving up some spam.

Wishing the best for every man.

Something is tearing me up inside.

My pillow is wet because I cried.

I will hug my TV till someone comes.

Someone to bring me out of this slum.

The word lonely isn’t the end.

It is an endless hell to walk in.

There seems to be no way out.

Life sucks, if this is what it is about.

I pray Santa will answer my call.

Bring me a girlfriend to end it all.

Let me have a real Christmas.

One that I do not want to miss.

Expanding Our Love

     Expanding Our Love

It is necessary to know the truth.

Since we are sitting in this booth,

tell me what you really feel.

I don’t want my mind to start to reel.

What was it that led you here?

Was it when I called you dear?

Am I all you were looking for?

Do I live up? Can I do more?

It is hard to answer such questions.

Let me back off before rejection.

I can say why I love you.

Or, I can say what you want me to.

Open honesty is the best policy.

It can set both of us free.

To understand each other from inside out.

That is what it is all about.

To know you from the beginning to the end.

Let you know you are my lover and my friend.

Communication is the key here.

Total understanding, never fear.

It will open doors we never knew were there.

Trust will bloom without a care.

The end result will be greater love, you see.

This is the way it was meant to be.

Day Tripping

                Day Tripping

See the little boy by that tree.

I wonder what just happened to me?

Something happened on the other side of town.

Why are you going around wearing that frown?
Fractured flickers is a crack up in time.

Oh, how I wish that you were mine.

Let’s go see how much gold we can find.

My thoughts are spinning. I’m losing my mind.

Tell him to go to the little boys room.

Thoughts are flashing. Gone way too soon.

I know there was a bank robbery today.

Lost some money? You don’t say.

My thoughts are jumbled, jumping around.

I was so happy with the new love I found.

There was nothing. Just rocks and mud.

Relieve yourself properly. O.K. then bud.

Whoa,—– it is finally slowing down.

My thoughts are settling to the ground.

What a trip. Once is enough for me.

Let someone else drink that tea.

The Time App.

          The Time App.

I have invented a ‘time app.’

What do you think of that?

Go back in time a little bit.

15 min., 30 min., up to 2 hrs.

Lost precious time is now ours.

I tested out the beta app.

I was driving like a bat.

Soon, red lights came flashing.

He was behind me, not passing.

He said he had me on radar.

Going faster than a falling star.

Just before he started writing.

I pushed the app. Like lightening,

I was driving 15 min. earlier.

I slowed down, just to be sure.

Soon, I saw him behind a thicket.

He was squirming to give a ticket.

I went by at the legal speed limit.

His radar was on me for a minute.

I never saw him after that.

Saved myself a bunch of crap.

What if going back caused a problem?

Changing things may not solve them.

I could make a mint off this.

It would be a hit, but it could go amiss.

The ending could be tragic, you see.

This could be the end of me.

What do you think of it all?

Get a patent and roll with the fall?

Or, leave it alone as something taboo?

What to do, I’ll never know.—Do you?

Drowning In Misery

   Drowning In Misery

You think you know.

Where it is I want to go.

You think you know me.

What I want and what I see.

You think you hear.

What it is I fear.

You think you hear me.

How I would love to be free.

You think you feel.

The pain I have that is real.

You think you feel me.

You have no idea, don’t you see?

You try to touch.

The real me I don’t entrust.

You try to touch me.

I won’t get close to be free.

You think you smell.

All that happened when I fell.

You think you smell me.

On this point I don’t agree.

You think you see.

You don’t see how it can be.

You think you see me.

Bent and paralyzed. What’s to see?

You want to care.

It is more than I can bare.

You want to care for me.

I can’t stop you. Can’t you see?

The Flying Monkey’s

        The Flying Monkey’s

I spent many years in my search.

Following every lead, for what it’s worth.

You may think it all kind of funny.

But, I found the land of the flying monkey.

It is a place shrouded in mystery.

A place that doesn’t have a history.

It is an island lost in time.

It is a place that’s hard to find.

I arrived in the murky mist.

I really wasn’t sure of this.

My crew and I went ashore.

Like a demon opened a door.

We couldn’t see much in the mist.

I pointed the way and made a fist.

A jungle started at the shore.

We used machete’s to make a door.

We hacked a trail for a couple miles.

We marched along in single file.

Then, we heard a screeching noise.

It sounded like a monkey toy.

Overhead, something flew by.

Scared me so bad I thought I would die.

More things were seen flying around.

Then one landed on the ground.

A flying monkey. There was no doubt.

This is what our trip was all about.

They kept their distance. They were smart.

We couldn’t coax one into a cart.

I wouldn’t shoot one. It’s not my way.

We found a skeleton the very next day.

We had pictures and we had the bones.

It was time to leave for home.

We had our proof they did exist.

There was little that we missed.

We kept the location secret.

Protected the monkey’s, with no regret.

The flying monkeys are still there .

Living free and flying everywhere.

We have the proof they do exist.

That’s all we wanted. Cross it off the list.

Magic Today

             Magic Today

I shouldn’t be so naive, they say.

Magic does not exist today.

I knew that, but then it happened.

It didn’t come to attack them.

It came in the night, like oozing ochre.

It was enough to scare the Joker.

You could tap in, if you believed.

No telling what you could achieve.

Practice makes perfect, they say.

It took much more than a day.

All the magic described in books

could be done, even by crooks.

It is a different world we now live in.

The best sorcerer would always win.

There was nothing online to help.

This wasn’t for just any whelp.

It took belief and a strong connection.

A good defense for protection.

Lightning bolts were flying fast & heavy.

One blasted out the local levy.

The flood wiped out the evil wizard.

Others said they would fry our gizzards.

The battle goes on with little relief.

One is lucky if they don’t lose their teeth.

How long will this magic stay?

For us, it is impossible to say.

But, while it lasts there will be no peace.

Evil wizards play for keeps.

A Frightened Prophet

      A Frightened Prophet

When I was small I had dreams.

Many came true, or so it seems.

As an adult I have dreams & visions.

I guess it’s time to make a decision.

Do I tell others about this gift?

Many will try to take advantage of it?

I am not sure if I want any of that.

Maybe it is better off  where it’s at.

I could be like the ‘sleeping prophet.’

Edgar Casey. Many bought it.

He came up with many treatments.

Prophesied about many seen events.

Some have come true. Others, not yet.

If all came true, he would be set.

I am not sure I want all that.

But, many things are on my back.

I feel like others need to know.

End of time comes fast, not slow.

Many events will happen rapidly.

Sounds almost like a ‘rap’ to me.

But, a rap song wouldn’t do it justice.

Many diseases coming to infest us.

Every tragedy coming down the pike.

Nothing coming you would like.

I don’t preach gloom and doom.

But, there is little working room.

The events coming can’t be avoided.

No matter what, you can’t avoid it.

So, what to do with visions like this?

Any way you look at it, it’s a bitch.

Coming On Strong

      Coming On Strong

Coming on strong.

I have a feeling it may be wrong.

Yet, I’m so into you.

I love everything you do.

Coming on strong.

This would make a powerful song.

It is everything you do.

I want to make it all come true.

Coming on strong.

As I take another puff off the bong.

I am being carried away.

Will I feel the same on another day?

Coming on strong.

How much longer will this go on.

I like it a lot.

My feet are glued to this very spot.

Coming on strong.

I knew this couldn’t last for long.

Why did you say

you had better wait till another day?

Coming on strong.

It was perfectly fine with me.

When you stopped

I knew it was the end, you see.

Coming on strong.

You said you wanted it to go on.

Spread it out.

In the end I will not pout.

Coming on strong.

You wanted to go for long.

Like a lifetime.

Now, I know that you are mine.
